Elie Tahari Collection at KohlsWell, Kohl’s has done it again!  They’ve given us another fabulous collaboration with Design Nation and New York-based designer Elie Tahari.  If you are a City girl, and you love an urban, sophisticated look, you MUST try on as many pieces in this collection as you can find and fit into.  My local Kohl’s store didn’t carry all 41 pieces in the collection that I wanted to try (one particular piece that I *love* does not come in my size-bummer!), but I purchased two gorgeous, well-made pieces from the collection.  Here are the two:\r\n\r\nThis gorgeous draped-back mixed media top that is long enough for jeans or leggings or even tucked in a skirt…..Elie Tahari Draped Back Mixed Media Top\r\n\r\nAnd this mixed media sheath dress that hugs every curve tastefully and needs nothing more than a pair of earrings and perhaps a bracelet to make it spectacularElie Tahari Mixed Media Sheath Dress*Not to mention that, right now, there’s an additional 25 percent off the collection, plus, if you use your Kohl’s charge, you get an additional discount and $10 Kohl’s Cash to use on your next purchase.  I’m hoping I’ll be able to pick up a flounce skirt from this collection.  The pants are gorgeous, but, given that I’m a petite, the pants won’t quite fit the way they should (so I’ll pass.)  However, the size range of the collection is quite good, with an XL fitting slightly larger than a size 16, and dresses running up to a size 12, 14, or 16 (depending on the style) or XS to XL.  The fabrics, stitching and drape of all the outfits is spectacular for the price point.\r\n\r\nOne note: If you will be trying on dresses, make sure you are wearing the types of foundation garments you would normally wear under a *good* dress.  I wore the correct bra (not a push up or tee-shirt) as well as a control panty.  It kept me from getting disgusted and feeling like nothing fit, because the dress actually fit the way it is supposed to .  When going out with this dress, I will wear a high waist control panty with black thigh-highs or Hue control-top tights (which fit me the best) and, of course, a slip.  Since most of our middle-market retailer clothing is unlined, slips, camis etc. are sometimes necessary to get the garment to “flow” properly and take a well-fitted shape.  I’m so looking forward to looking stunning in my Elie Tahari dress!
