For years now, my summer skin ritual has included Jergens’ Natural Glow Moisturizer. Of all the self-tanning moisturizer products, this one gives my whitey-white skin just enough summer color without fear of streaks, smears or brown spots (for some reason, my neck and face always get tan with little effort. go figure. The slow build up of color “wears” more naturally than other self-tanners, too. And when I stop using it, it wears away evenly and naturally–no weird splotching. So, overall, I find this a great moisturizer and self-tanner….
But as my ole skin loses more elasticity, I’m finding that a little added firming goes a long way So I was very excited about Jergens Natural Glow + Firming Daily Moisturizer. My results: so far, so great! Light, pleasant scent. Goes on smooth, so it’s easy to blend around problem areas (ankles and knees.) And now a nice gradual skin firming along with skin glow. I chose the Light to Medium, but if you’re darker, go for the Medium to Dark*. Even though the build-up is gradual, it does not take forever to show up. You won’t have to have started in May to have nice color by the end of June. It takes perhaps a week to 10 days to completely build up. and then it’s easy to maintain, even if you skip a day or use something different every now and then. The best results, though, come from daily use throughout the summer.
What I like the most about this product is its firming aspects–which are on par with more expensive firming creams. Also, for over 40 skin that’s starting to look a bit crepe-y, it plumps and smooths as well as firms. While most of us are inclined to use this just for our legs, I would suggest using it on your arms as well for the firming aspect. Even if you exercise a lot and keep your arms fairly firm, there will be some change in skin texture and firmness, which this cream fixes up in no time.
If you haven’t already, make Jergens Natural Glow and Jergens Natural Glow + Firming part of your summer moisturizing routine, too!
*however, if you are fair, the Medium to Dark will not necessarily give you a deep-dark tan color. It imparts a darker shade, but it’s not very flattering (from my experience Your absolute best result will come from the Light to Medium. Let’s face it, fellow pasty-white women, we’re just not meant to have those deep dark tans. Well, not without a boatload of skin damage…..
